We have all chosen to learn certain lessons while we are here.  (Let’s be honest life would be boring if we weren’t challenged occasionally!) Although it may not always be easy or pleasant our lessons will continue to be presented to us until we master them.

We may have chosen to learn our lessons early on in life or we may have them spread out over our life.  Whatever is the case you have chosen for it to be this way.  What one person finds easy to do may not be the case for someone else.  One thing you can be assured of is that your lessons will be uniquely challenging for you.

Be thankful always for what you have and what you have learnt along the way.  Lessons are one avenue through which we grow and evolve.  Sometimes our loved ones can be our greatest teachers in that they have chosen to help us to learn a particular lesson.   Remember to celebrate you and give thanks for the lessons you have learnt so far!

We all have experiences – good, bad and indifferent.  Our experiences help to shape who we are.  We can all have the same experience yet we can all look at it differently.  Some experiences have a big impact on us and are never forgotten whilst other experiences happen and are easily forgotten.

Generally it is our reaction and feelings about an experience that determine whether we are negatively impacted by it. On the other hand you can have a wonderful experience and feel so happy that you are over the moon about it!  So often it is not so much the experience but the emotional reaction to the event that affects us.

Consciously you may be aware of experiences that you’ve previously had that you don’t feel great about even today.  You only have to think about them and uneasy or upset feelings come up.  On some level these feelings you still have can affect the choices you make and how you feel about yourself.

Take for example someone when they were a child had a near drowning experience in the pool and struggled to get their head above the water.  Every time this person even as an adult goes near deep water they feel anxious and fearful even though years have passed since the initial incident happened.

Everything we experience is recorded in our subconscious.  That is why I love Kinesiology as it can deal with the specific incident whenever it happened and release those negative emotions surrounding it so you are no longer holding onto those feelings.  So next time you think about the initial experience or you have a similar experience there are no unpleasant feelings that come up.   What’s more important you can start feeling even better within yourself!

Experiences shape who we are as people.  They help build our character, help define what we value and what we don’t and help build our compassion and understanding.  Most importantly they help us to grow and be the wonderful person we are today.

If you have something you want to say or share please feel free to add your post.  We hope you enjoyed this fortnightly blog!
